New Archos portable video player, interview with Archos COO

Wednesday June 30, 2004
Archos today unveiled their new state of the art AV400 Pocket Video Recorder. This portable video player, which comes in a 20GB or 80GB model, can do all your standard portable audio and video things, but has the added feature of being the first on the block to be able to control your television tuner for recording purposes by connecting to it through a cradle which is cabled to your VCR, TV or set top box. The actual channel changing is managed via a programming schedule in the AV400, which can be downloaded when your player is hooked up to your computer.

While you're drooling over the AV400, check out my interview with Archos COO Brad Wallace about the player and the company he works for.
