Etch A Sketch goes digital
Thursday August 12, 2004
Via tech blog Engadget is a story from the New York Times today about Ohio Art's new electronic Etch A Sketch. Known as the ETO, this portable video game controller plugs into the A/V port on a television and lets kids (and fun loving adults) draw the famous lines and zig zags which have made the original red square with two dials such a classic toy. The ETO, via three drawing modes, will allow children to do free form illustrating on screen, art building with multimedia effects and game creation. The ETO also has an expansion card slot for future features. It is priced around $35.
