Solar powered bags for your portable entertainment device charging needs
Monday September 13, 2004
Here's an interesting way to get some power on the go for your portable electronics: Innovus Design in Texas has started rolling out their Eclipse Solar Gear line of solar panel lined carrying bags. The first to hit the streets for $129 is the Reactor Solar Backpack. Using a built in solar module (the panel on the front of the pack), sunlight is turned into energy and used to charge any device which can draw power from a 12 volt auto charger made specifically for it.
It's also loaded with all the usual things small device freaks like myself enjoy in a gear bag: extra pockets, a laptop sleeve and a small, sturdy hole to feed your headphones through to your MP3 player.
Here are more specs, courtesy of Innovus:
- Size: 18” x 13” x 8.75”
- Weight: 3.7 pounds without the laptop sleeve; 4.6 with the laptop sleeve
