Altec goes sleek and silver with new portable speakers

Pssst, buddy, need a good pair of portable speakers? Altec Lansing is the one whispering that as they show off their newly available XT1 Portable Notebook Speaker System for $129.95. These lightweight speakers (1.5 pounds total in the included book-sized carrying case) are USB powered and provide quality sound from "four specially engineered full-range neodymium micro drivers built into each speaker, along with patented bass enhancement technology that eliminates the need for a subwoofer."

Each speaker stands at 1.9" x 1.3" x 7.5" and is slate gray with a mesh silver grill. An auxiliary input jack and cables provide the ability to hook up a secondary audio source for easy switching.
