Plug your power hungry portable device into a Socket Mobile Power Pack

Tuesday October 12, 2004
If a truly portable power solution for your MP3 or portable video player is on your holiday wishlist, Socket Communications hopes you'll consider their Mobile Power Pack. Priced at $149 and available in early November, this 4"x 3"x 1" rectangular device can recharge nearly any 5 volt device which is capable of drawing power from a USB port, potentially eliminating the need to carry around multiple charging sources. When the Mobile Power Pack's Lithium ion battery pack is full charged, Socket claims, it can "typically recharge a Pocket PC up to 10 times, or a mobile phone up to 15 times." Devices can connect to the Mobile Power Pack via a compatible connector, which is explaned more on the power pack's product page.
