Portable Entertainment's Friday Pick: Creative Zen Touch
This week starts a new weekly recommendation blog post from your Guide here at the Portable Entertainment site. The purpose will be to recommend products, some older, some just announced, which mark good examples of the types of devices and accessories I cover here.
My first Friday pick is Creative's Zen Touch 20GB MP3 player. This hard drive player is capable of playing MP3, WMA and WAV files and has a rechargeable battery which has a play life ranging from 24 to 32 hours. It supports USB 2.0 for fast file transfers and can also be used to carry non music files, acting as a storage drive.
One of the most unique things about the Creative Zen Touch is it's vertical touch pad control. This enables easy navigation of music files displayed on the backlit LED by using an up-down motion. Touching the upper or lower portions of the pad will provide rapid scrolling backwards or forwards, while the middle portion is used for normal scrolling speed.
The Creative Zen Touch also offers customized playlists-on-the-go and a search feature to find songs, albums and artists stored on the player's hard drive.
