Get ready to thump with Oakley's Thump MP3 player sunglasses

Wednesday November 17, 2004
Those wanting a stylish MP3 player they can wear need wait no longer as this Saturday brings the start of sales of the Oakley Thump MP3 player sunglasses. That's right - sunglasses which play tunes.

The Thump will come in two memory configurations - 128MB ($395 MSRP) and 256MB ($495 MSRP) - and seven color combinations. Music is heard through two attached ear speakers with "float" and can be rotated for better listening. The sunglasses support USB 2.0 for high speed file transfers and can also be recharged through this connection. Playback time on a full charge is 6 hours. Supported music file types include MP3, WMA and WAV.

The Oakley Thump also makes for a nice pair of sunglasses with near distortion free vision, polarization for glare reduction (256MB model only) and UV light blocking.
