The new Creative Zen Micro offers up a very favorable alternative to the iPod mini. This award winning digital audio player has a 5GB hard drive within, capable of holding up to 2500 songs (as always, this depends upon the type of music file, length of song and quality it was recorded at) of the MP3, WMA and WAV music file types. The Zen Micro is small, having a depth of only 3.3".
This player is one of the better looking ones on the market at the moment. It is available in ten different colors, ranging from black and light blue to orange and yellow. It has a curved design and a blue LED back light which radiates in a thin strip around the edges and behind the slighty recessed, vertical touch sensitive control pad.
The Zen Micro is rich in features. Besides being able to belt out music at a clear 98dB signal to noise ratio, it can also play and record FM broadcasts and record your voice. It offers a built in calendar, to do and contact lists, can be used as a musical alarm clock, offers USB 2.0 high speed file transfers and can serve as a portable hard drive to store non music files on.
The Zen Micro's rechargeable battery gives an estimated 12 hours of play and is removable so another fully charged battery can be swapped in.
