iPod Shortage and other iPod news

Technology journalist Cynthia Webb of the Washington Post has a great column today on all things iPod. Among the news she rounds up is a report from the Wall Street Journal that iPods are hard to find right now due to the hot item outstripping supplies. Many major retailers, plus online shops like Amazon, are out of stock. Apple is trying hard to keep up with the demand.
For those desperate enough to plunk down the cash eBay, Webb says, has a good number of iPods up for auction. The problem here though is they usually end up selling well above what you could get them in stores.
