New digital photo jukebox from Gateway announced
Computer manufacturer Gateway today announced they had expanded their music playing and photo showing MP3 Photo Jukebox line. This line now has a new 6GB model priced at $249.99 which will be capable of storing up to 1,500 MP3 or WMA songs. The price on the older 4GB model also dropped to $199.99.
The 6GB MP3 Photo Jukebox can show off JPEG images on its 1.6-inch color screen. It weighs 3.4 ounces and is about the size of a deck of cards. Other interesting features include a replaceable, rechargeable battery which puts out eight to ten hours of playback time, support through USB 2.0 to transfer photos directly from a digital camera to the player and direct support for online music services like Napster To Go.
"Gateway's digital music player was already a standout for its versatility," said Dan Stevenson, vice president, product marketing. "The new version of the Gateway MP3 Photo Jukebox provides even more storage and enhanced features in the same light design. Our new player combines one of the most straightforward user interfaces with seamless PC music synchronization and compatibility with a broad range of music services. It is simply the perfect traveling companion for music lovers."
