Strike a pose with the new Gumby-like iGuy iPod case

Thursday May 26, 2005
I'll admit from the get go this is perhaps the oddest new product I've blogged about since I started writing for About. Meet the iGuy. He's a new protective case from iPod case maker Speck Products. Described as the "first toy for your iPod", this Gumby wannabe is is available now for $34.95.

The iGuy is a bendable, posable case for fourth generation (click wheel) iPods and iPod Photos. It is white, rubberized and includes a removable screen protector. The iGuy provides full acess to the controls, headphone plug and hold switch and can be flexed so the case remains on while the iPod charges in its dock.

"Our new iGuy can be your iPod's best friend," said Tim Hickman, general manager of Speck Products. "iPod owners are incredibly passionate about their iPod and the iGuy enables them to not only customize their iPod, but actually give it a personality. This is the perfect gift for the iPod fanatic in your life."
