Sony Ericsson announces new Walkman cell phone
Sony Ericsson busted out a new phone for the U.S. market last week which will give consumers a lot of fun features. The new W600 Walkman Phone will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
The W600, besides its core function as a cell phone, plays music files and captures still and moving digital images. It's 256MB of memory can store between 80 and 120 music files of the MP3 and AAC formats. For those who don't want music files, the W600 also offers a built-in FM radio. All of this can be listened to through a stereo headset or built-in speakers.
As far as digital images go, the W600 has a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording functions. In addition, users can also surf the Internet and play 3D style games.
"Sony Ericsson led the way with high quality photos from a mobile phone, and now consumers can use their mobile phone to easily access their favorite music any where any time. Like all Sony Ericsson handsets, the W600 is a phone first with superb functionality and easy access to digital content and applications that allow consumers to do more, hear more and experience more," said Miles Flint, global president of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications.
