Logitech adds more headphones geared towards MP3 player owners
Computer peripheral equipment maker Logitech yesterday announced they were adding three new headphones to their iPod/MP3 accessories line. These newest headphones are the Logitech Wireless Headphones for MP3 ($129.99 - available in July), the Logitech Identity Headphones for MP3 ($39.99 - available in September) and the Logitech Curve Headphones for MP3 ($29.99 - available in August).
In short, the Wireless Headphones provide up to 30 feet of range for listening without cables by using Bluetooth technology to connect between an adapter plugged into the player and the headphones. The Identity Headphones are not wireless but more design focused instead, offering four changeable color plates which allow users to mix colors and styles according to their mood. The Curve Headphones are geared towards the more active set, sporting a polycarbonate shell which makes them water resistant, lightweight and fairly durable.
"People use their portable music players in a variety of situations, and they need stereo headphones that include features to enhance their music in different environments," said Ray Weikel, director of product marketing for Logitech's Audio Business Unit. "Logitech has created a line of products that give people the power of choice when it comes to headphones for mobile music players. Like the Wireless Headphones for iPod introduced last month, the Wireless Headphones for MP3 remove the hassle of tangled cords and unleash people from their music players. The Curve and Identity products provide features for active users and those who want to make a fashion statement with their headphones. All of these headphones provide superior audio quality, comfort and fit."
