Philips shows off new GoGear hard drive MP3 players

Consumer electronics giant Philips today refreshed their MP3 player line as they announced some new GoGear hard drive jukeboxes. The HDD1630 and HDD6330 will be available in October for $199 and $299 respectively.

The HDD1630 houses a 6GB hard drive which can store up to 3,000 songs, while the HDD6330 offers a 30GB drive capable of holding up to 15,000 songs. Both players have many features in common, including the ability to play MP3 and WMA (including Windows Media 10 copy protected) music files, a color LCD, the ability to store and display JPEG pictures, a backlit sensory touchpad, an integrated FM tuner, integrated voice recorder and a speed recharge function.

"These players feature a sleek, compact design, enabling busy consumers to carry their tunes with them wherever they go and control their music with the slightest touch. Available in time for the holiday gift giving season, the GoGear Jukeboxes are an ideal gift packed with added features such as picture viewing to enhance the entertainment experience."
