New iPod, iTunes cell phone and more from Apple
So, what did Apple have up their sleeve today as CEO Steve Jobs took a San Francisco stage before invited members of the press? In one word, lots.
In a sweeping set of announcements word was given of a new Motorola cellular phone which is compatible with Apple’s iTunes online music store, a new, thin iPod which replaces the extremely popular iPod mini, a new version of the iTunes music management software, the complete downloadable Harry Potter digital audiobook set available from the iTunes store, a customized Harry Potter’s Collector’s Edition iPod and seamless integration of the iPod into the stereo system of select models of vehicles from four car companies.
