Tivoli Audio iSongBook turns iPods into a fashionable portable music system

Tuesday November 8, 2005
One recently released iPod accessory which has been catching people’s eye is the iSongBook portable music system. Designed by high end audio company Tivoli Audio, the iSongBook is available for $329.99 in a white/silver cabinet which has been rust proofed for weather resistance.

The iSongBook utilizes a universal docking station from Apple to fit all iPod models. The flip down dock charges the iPod as it plays through the iSongBook and stows into the unit when not in use. A supplied remote control operates the entire system.

Features of the iSongBook include a digital AM/FM tuner with 5 presets for each band and a seek function, a blue backlit LCD that shows station tuning and a alarm style digital clock, auxiliary input and stereo headphone output with rubber covers to keep out dust and dirt when not in use, a detachable second speaker with a retractable six foot cord attached and a built-in battery charger.

The iSongBook, which draws its power from either standard AA alkaline or NiMH/NiCad rechargeable batteries or by an included AC adapter or 12V power source, measures 6-3/16” by 11-1/16” by 2-3/16”.

"The iSongBook is so versatile as a traveling music system for the iPod that it has a universal docking station that will perfectly fit all current iPod models, regardless of size," says Tom DeVesto, Chairman and CEO of Tivoli Audio. "With the iSongBook, the iPods becomes a full-bodied music system, unlike any other."
