DLO HomeDock Deluxe makes iPods home entertainment center
iPod accessory specialist Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) introduced a new docking station for iPods which is designed to turn them into the center of a home entertainment system. The new DLO HomeDock Deluxe is priced at $149.99 and should be available in March.
The DLO HomeDock Deluxe allows a user to view and navigate their iPod’s music and songs on their television screen using an 18-button remote control. It also enables users to play their slideshows and videos on the television. Features of the DLO HomeDock Deluxe include an AC power supply that also charges the iPod when docked, a powered speaker adapter, an on screen TV interface and various A/V outputs to connect to a TV and home stereo system.
“On-screen navigation of iPod’s music on a huge flat-screen TV has been a dream of iPod owners for a long time. It’s one of the last ‘big features’ left to accomplish on the iPod and now DLO will be the first company to put that feature into customers’ hands”, said Jeff Grady, CEO of DLO. “Its innovations and features like on-screen navigation and remote iPod video control that add tremendous value to our customers’ overall iPod experience. We take a users favorite iPod, and make it even better.”
