New Portable Audio Earphones NASCAR Tested

Tuesday April 18, 2006
Trick Audio, a developer of noise blocking earphones which were designed for NASCAR driver/crew radio communications, is bringing their expertise in motor sports sound management to the consumer portable audio world. They’ve introduced a new noise blocking earphone – the TA-100 – which is priced normally at $59.95 and available now.

The TA-100, said Trick Audio, reportedly blocks outside noise quite effectively, “resulting in crisp, clear sound at much lower (safer) volumes". This in-the-ear earphone has been rated as blocking as much as 42 decibels of noise, allowing consumers to hear their music better without need of turning up the volume to block out outside noises. For the earphones to work properly, they must be correctly inserted into the ears so that they form a “seal” which helps prevent distracting noises from being heard.

Another feature of the TA-100 earphones is a special tip design which is extremely soft and pliable. This tip design, which comes in two different sizes out of the packaging, reportedly has flexibility to help keep the earphone in the ear canal, without slipping out, as one engages in an active lifestyle.
