Going Where An iPod Probably Shouldn't Go
Wednesday April 26, 2006
Need tunes while you are in the bathroom? Admittedly, this is one of the stranger iPod accessories I’ve ever seen – the Atech iCarta (also known as the Atech iLounge, which is not to be confused by the iPod enthusiast Web site of the same name).
The Atech iCarta is actually what the picture shows it to be – an iPod dock/toilet paper dispenser. Features of this bathroom wonder include two full range speakers and dual subwoofers, an adjustable docking slot which holds different size iPods while charging them, a slot for an iPod shuffle, the ability to fold in for on the go usage and, yes, a bath tissue holder built-in.
No pricing or other specific information exists on Atech’s site, though it looks from Google searches that it should be available now for around $99.
