Fisher Price this week unveiled a new digital audio player targeted towards preschoolers ages three and up. The new Kid Tough FP3 Player is priced at $69.99 and will be available in July.

Designed specifically for preschoolers, said Fisher Price, the Kid Tough FP3 Player has big buttons and visual icons on the 1.4” backlit LCD screen to help youngsters pick their favorite songs and stories without help from their parents. The device comes loaded with “preschool appropriate” songs and stories as well as allowing parents the opportunity to add more audio by uploading what they already own or purchasing material from an online store Fisher Price is setting up.

Other features of the Fisher Price Kid Tough FP3 Player include a SD card slot for expandable memory, “kid-friendly” headphones, a breakaway neck strap for portability, a USB cable to connect the player to a computer and a CD of music management software.

the fact of having a volume control so your kids don’t blow their ears out is just a brilliant idea.
