Memorex Joins iPod Hit Parade with New Speaker Systems

As reported by iPod enthusiast Web site iLounge, well known brand name Memorex has gotten into the i-accessories market with three recently unveiled iPod speaker systems. In stores now should be the iMove, iListen and iWake.

The Memorex iMove (pictured at right) is a portable boombox style design which works with most dockable iPods, including the current iPod with video and iPod nano. It has a white backlit LCD display, digital AM/FM radio with presets, surround sound enhancement, integrated carrying handle and powers and charges the iPod as it rests in the integrated dock while playing. It is available in black and white colors.

The iListen, available in white only, is more of a pure speaker system which, like the iMove, works with most dockable iPods. This unit, which is wall mountable, has digital AM/FM radio with presets, powers and charges a docked iPod while it plays, has 12W power output at 1% THD, surround sound enhancement and S-video output for displaying iPod stored photos and video on a television.

Rounding out Memorex’s new iPod accessories is the iWake, an iPod dockable clock radio available in black and white colors. Integrated features include a white backlit display, AM/FM radio, dual alarm function, the ability to wake up to music from your iPod, a snooze function and the powering and charging of an iPod while docked.
