Apple Showcases Revamped iPod U2 Special Edition

Apple yesterday reintroduced their special edition iPod U2, this time based on the fifth generation iPod (video) design. This newest member of the iPod family is available now for $329.

The iPod U2 Special Edition, said Apple, has 30GB of storage, meaning it can hold up to 7,500 songs, 25,000 photos or 75 hours of video. It has an all-black stainless steel enclosure, a red Click Wheel and, on the back side, custom engraving of U2 band member signatures. Other features include integration with the iTunes Music Store, USB 2.0 support for high speed file transfers and up to 14 hours of battery life for music.

Purchasers of the iPod U2 Special Edition will receive as part of their purchase 30 minutes of exclusive U2 video downloadable from the iTunes Music Store.
