Creative Showcases New In-Ear, High Quality Earphones

Creative Technology today unveiled some new in-ear earphones which they feel deliver high quality audio playback while eliminating the vast majority of exterior ambient noise. The new Zen Aurvana earphones are priced at $99.99 and should be available by month’s end.

The Creative Zen Aurvana in-ear earphones, according to their maker, include three different sizes of contoured silicon earbuds for a more comfortable, secure fit. The earphones make use of cutting-edge noise isolation technology to reportedly eliminate up to 90 percent of exterior noise, letting users enjoy their favorite music at considerably lower volume levels.

Technically speaking, the Zen Aurvana earphones are designed with “high performance” balanced armature drivers, which were originally developed to provide quality audio reproduction in hearing aids. The earphones sport oxygen-free copper cable and gold-plated plugs for a more pure signal path. They deliver a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, sensitivity of 115 dB and noise isolation of up to 20 dB.

The Zen Aurvana earphones come with the six sets of alternate earbuds (two pairs of each size), a travel case, an airplane adapter and a cleaning tool.
