Apple Does iPod Integration with Ford, GM, Mazda

Apple is continuing with greater integration of its iPod into the auto marketplace, it was announced last week. The company said they have teamed with Ford, GM and Mazda to deliver iPod listening options across a majority of these automakers’ brands and models.

Ford and General Motors will feature auto-iPod integration in the majority of their 2007 models in the US beginning later this year, while Mazda's entire global 2007 lineup of cars and SUVs will offer iPod connectivity. iPod offerings for Ford, General Motors and Mazda with dual listening and charging capabilities as well as allowing drivers to use their car's multifunction controls to select their music using artist, album, playlist or shuffle songs, as well as skip between tracks and playlists.
