Directed Electronics, a maker of consumer branded vehicle security and convenience systems, recently unveiled a new docking station for portable Sirius Satellite Radio receivers as well as select iPods. The Soloist Universal Media Dock is priced at $149 and should be available come September.

The Soloist Universal Media Dock, according to Directed Electronics, employs interchangeable cradles (included) to dock many different Sirius receivers plus iPods. The docking station uses flat panel technology for delivering a stereo listening experience and “comes with front panel AUX IN and headphone jacks, rear panel AUX IN and OUT, rear panel USB port and a built-in alarm clock with snooze button, which can wake the user to their favorite SIRIUS station or iPod song”.
