SanDisk Unveils Sansa c200 MP3 Players

Monday September 11, 2006
SanDisk, which recently introduced their top of the line Sansa e280 MP3 player, went the opposite direction earlier this month as they unveiled their more budget-oriented Sansa c200 series. This new flash memory based player line is priced at $79.99 for a 1GB model and $99.99 for a 2GB model.

The Sansa c200 series, which will be available in October, can store a maximum of 500 MP3 or 1,000 WMA music files in the upper 2GB model. The player’s memory can also be expanded with an optional microSD memory card inserted into an internal card slot. The c200s are capable of supporting WMA music downloaded from PlaysForSure subscription based online music services and sport a bright LCD screen. Other features of this player include a FM tuner/recorder with 20 channel presets, a voice recorder, up to 15 hours of rechargeable battery playback and support for displaying digital photos and music album art.
