CES 2007: HeadPlay Personal Cinema System
Tech start up HeadPlay introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show a portable visual headset and media center for bringing the big screen viewing experience to a more personal level. The HeadPlay Personal Cinema System is priced at $500 and should be available in April.
The HeadPlay Personal Cinema System is designed to be connected directly to video sources like DVD players and iPods and consists of three components. The first component is the headset, which is worn over the eyes to provide a virtual 52-inch viewing experience. Another component manages the incoming video signals and runs the software which makes the entire system work. The third component is a connected remote control which lets one select and control content and screen settings. It also serves as a connection point for earphones.
