CES 2007: Sennheiser PXC 450

Tuesday January 9, 2007
Audio specialist Sennheiser was using the Consumer Electronics Show spotlight to unveil their top of the line PXC 450 noise cancelling headphones. These headphones are priced at $500 and should be available in March.

The Sennheiser PXC 450 headphones offer up active noise reduction which is reportedly capable of distinguishing between someone talking to you and the noise of aircraft noise. This way you can have an active conversation with someone without removing the headphones. The PXC 450 have a closed ear cup design with plenty of padding, reduce some 90 percent of background noise and can be collapsed for transport.

(1) Quincy Boolum says:

My 2 year old PXC 250s stopped working because of frayed wires. I sent the headphones to Sennheiser for repair. Their online tracking system indicates they received the headphones on 12/22/06, but they have not yet looked at them. That’s 12 business days and I find that unacceptable.
