Is $500 too much for the Apple iPhone?

How much would you be willing to pay for the upcoming Apple iPhone, considered by some to be the next must have portable gadget? If this survey is to be believed, not that many. An online market research firm, surveying 379 people, said that "among the 26 percent of respondents who said they're likely to buy an iPhone, only 1 percent said they'd pay $500 for it." Many of this same population said they'd pay between $200 to $299 for Apple's upcoming iPod/cell phone hybrid. What would you be willing to pay? $500? $299?
