AT&T Wireless Debuts New Mobile Music Offerings

Customers of AT&T Wireless have some new ways to enjoy music via compatible cell phones, complete as well with appropriate fees. These new and/or expanded services are known as AT&T mSpot Remix and Napster Mobile.

mSpot Remix will let AT&T Wireless customers enjoy wirelessly through their compatible mobile phones their PC-based music libraries. The music application, which is used on the phone, connects to your computer through a cellular Internet connection and starts playing a song while also downloading it. The phone is then saved to the phone's memory card so it can be listened to in the future without downloading again. A standard monthly charge of around $10 will let you download 75 songs a month.

As for Napster Mobile, which AT&T Wireless first debuted last year, it is now being expanded to a larger customer base. This service lets you browse a mobile music catalog of over five million songs, play 30-second audio preview samples and buy and download music directly to your phone. The downloaded songs will also be available as a copy for download online from Napster to a PC.
