The kick off of the next generation of the iPod nano occurred today with the unveiling of the thinnest iPod design yet (0.24-inches) n a rainbow of nine different body color choices. The fourth generation iPod nano you'll find available for around $150 for 8GB and $200 for a 16GB one.
The new nano makes use of the Genius feature rolled out with iTunes 8 to automatically create playlists from songs in your music library while on the go. Other key changes include an enhanced user interface, a portrait display mode "and a built-in accelerometer which automatically switches to Cover Flow (album cover displays) when rotated and automatically goes into Shuffle mode when lightly shaken." This shaking movement will also let you interact with specially made iPod games in a new way.
Technical aspects of the iPod nano include a new design which "blends a brilliant two-inch display with a...curved aluminum and glass enclosure," up to 24 hours of music playback or four hours of video playback, storage on the 16GB model of up to 4,000 songs, 14,000 photos and 16 hours of video and storage on the 8GB model for up to 2,000 songs, 7,000 photos and eight hours of video. Both models come in silver, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, pink, red and black color choices as well. You can get more details on these new iPod nanos from Apple's Web site.

the new 4th generation nano may be slimmer and cheaper but many people have said that they liked the third generation iPod more because of the shape. Its not tall or any rectangular shape it more square giving them a better picture and something new because of all the previouse iPods.I believe that apple has only created the 4th generation iPod just so that people will stop asking for something new. If aplle wants to come up with something new the should make round iPOds and then modify it to be the best iPod ever and then people would be really suprised. Noone really looked at this new iPod as if it were anything great or anything new so we should tell apple make something different and stop making things that dont need to be better better.
