Periscope Products Unveils Amazon Kindle Backlight
Two minor complaints I have about the Amazon Kindle are its lack of a backlight and the weird feeling texture of the ebook reader's leather folio. A company by the name of Periscope Products may well have resolved both of these issues with its new Light Folio for Kindle product.
The Periscope Light Folio for Kindle, priced around $50, is set to be released this December. It is, according to the company, "a single compact Kindle cover that also features a built-in retractable reading light, as well as notepad and pen holders." The dimensions of this item fit well with the Kindle, measuring 8-1/4"H X 7-1/2"W X 1-1/4"D and weighing around 13 ounces.
Periscope says the light is powered by not-included AA batteries which offer around 40 hours of operation. You can get more details on this Kindle accessory at the Periscope Products Web site. [via CrunchGear]
