Ecosol Powerstick V2 Offers USB Power for Mobile Devices

Friday November 28, 2008
A Canadian company by the name of Ecosol Solar Technologies recently unveiled a portable power solution for portable electronics devices which is USB based. It is called the Powerstick V2 and you will find it pricing around $60.

The Powerstick V2 can be plugged into virtually any USB port and itself charged in about two hours. It looks like a typical USB flash drive in size and shape, but instead of being used to store data it instead provides backup power to mobile devices. It comes with nine connector tips to enable it to connect to many different mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players and GPS units.

Features of the Powerstick V2 from Ecosol include a weight of around just 40 grams, an intelligent mobile power backup solution which provides power only as needed and an automatic sleep mode to prevent additional draws of power from a USB port once it is fully recharged. You can get more details on the Powerstick V2 from the Ecosol product Web site.
