Creative Showcases New HD Pocket Camcorder

Creative, the maker of the popular Zen line of portable media players, announced yesterday the American availability of a pocket size HD camcorder. It is called the Vado HD and it prices around $230.

The Creative Vado HD is the next step up from the Creative Vado camcorder, which About.com partner Web site PC World reviewed earlier this year. The Vado HD, like the regular Vado, is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, but in this case it also records video in 720p high definition. 8GB of built-in memory, said Creative, hosts up to two hours of this recorded HD video.

Other key features of the Vado HD include HDMI connectivity, simple recording and playback, a removable, rechargeable battery, built-in USB connectivity and quick posting of video clips to popular online video services.
