Nextar Debuts Frog-Shaped MP3 Player

Wednesday December 17, 2008
MP3 players can take many shapes and sizes. This new player from Nextar - the Nextar Ribbit - is a perfect case in point. It comes in the shape of a frog and will price around $25 when it hops into retailers in spring of next year.

The Nextar Ribbit hosts 2GB of internal memory for storage of MP3 and WMA digital audio files. A small, built-in OLED display allows for viewing of menus and what's playing and the Ribbit, when fully charged, allows for up to six hours of audio playback.

Other features of the Ribibit include four body color choices, voice recording, USB 2.0, support for seven on-screen langauges, an eight-mode equalizer and a firmware upgradeable option. More details on the Ribbit (MA589) from Nextar at the company's Web site.
