Gesten iCap Clips MP3 Player onto Baseball Cap

Thursday December 18, 2008
It generally isn't a good idea to wear earbuds while biking or driving, as that limits the ability to hear surrounding noises such as cars coming. An alternative to this, which may irritate those around the wearer, is is new iCap MP3 player from Gesten Technologies.

The idea of the iCap is simple – take a baseball cap and combine it with a MP3 player which snaps on. This player is accompanied with two integrated speakers and surround sound technology. Volume can be put high to share with others or low to hear solo. One can see where the irritating of others might be possible, depending upon what the sound level is set at. A headphone jack is included, though, for those who want to listen privately.

Other features of the iCap from Gesten, which prices around $120, include a FM tuner and a voice recorder. It is currently set for availability in March 2009. For more details on the iCap, visit its Web site.
