CES 2009: Swann PenCam DVR
Swann Communications isn't a company mentioned here before in this blog, but a new portable video camera disguised as a pen certainly qualifies as something worth mentioning. It is called the Swann PenCam DVR and pricing is around $120.
The PenCam DVR sports a small video camera built into the end of a real working pen. This hidden video camera can capture AVI video files, transferring them to a computer through a USB connection. The internal 2GB of memory can record around three hours of video.
A built-in microphone captures audio within three feet and the PenCam DVR can run for up to 90 minutes on a full charge of its rechargeable battery. No specific release date is set yet, but more details on this pen should be available soon on the Swann Web site.
