The 2009 Consumer Electronics Show last week found Coby Electronics showcasing three new portable media players. These include the MP600, MP725 and MP836 (pictured at right).
The MP600 sports a 1.44-inch display and has up to 4GB of memory for storing digital music, video and images. It includes an integrated FM radio and has a rechargeable battery offering up to 10 hours of audio playback. The MP725, with its 2.4-inch display, expands upon this by offering up to 16GB of memory, touchpad controls with a LED backlight, support for subscription music services and up to 12 hours of audio playback.
Coby's flagship model among these is the 3-inch display MP836. The display on this unit is a touchscreen, meaning most controls are handled through there. 16GB of memory is internal, but it can be expanded via a microSD memory card slot. It has features like the others and gets up to 25 hours of audio playback. More details on these Coby portable media players, when they become available, can be found at Coby's Web site.

I saw another article on some of this at the blog, especially about the netbooks Coby has been considering.
