Sunday April 13, 2008
A company by the name of IoGear has unveiled its version of a portable media player which is notable one for thing it lacks - a display screen. The IoGear Portable Media Player prices at around $350 and works on Windows-based computers only.

The IoGear Portable Media Player is more designed to serve as an easy way to play your normally PC-bound media on a home entertainment system or television. This device, which is capable of storing up to 34,000 digital photos, 30,000 MP3s and 50 hours of DVD-quality video, connects to a PC through a USB connection to let you store the files on it. It can then connect with HDTVs or standard TVs with component or composite RCA connectors and standard audio RCA left / right connectors.

Video can be displayed at up to 720p HD resolution on your HDTV, if you have one. It includes built-in controls as well as a remote control. It is available now.
