By Jason Hidalgo:
When I first moved to the United States from the Philippines as a teenager, the only "portable device" I had on me was my watch. The most high-tech portable music player at the time? That would be Sony's bulky Discman line. My how times have changed.
These days, portable devices have become such an integral part of my life that I couldn't even imagine what it would be like without them. Well, I could, but I'd rather not.
From MP3 players and portable gaming systems to cell phones and internet media tablets, portable devices have given me plenty of utility along with countless hours of enjoyment.
My goal is to make your journey through portable electronics a lot easier and, hopefully, a lot more fun. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions, suggestions or comments. Journeys, after all, are a lot more enjoyable as a group!
