iPod accessories are in development by almost everyone these days it seems like. Earbuds, cases, stands, chargers, speaker systems and more garner for your attention at retail. There's even a whole category dedicated to integrating your iPod into your home entertainment system.

One such new product is the iLuv i1255, priced at around $150. This new iPod accessory is a sleek little number which combines iPod playback with DVD playback. It can easily serve as your primary DVD player while also letting you watching your favorite iPod videos on your big screen.

Features:

The iLuv i1255 sports a streamlined design which will let you enjoy a variety of iPod and disc-related media formats. As far as iPod connectivity goes, an integrated iPod dock is built into the i1255, allowing you to dock your iPod directly into it.

The iPod, while docked, allows you to play and charge your player at the same time. You can playback your iPod music and videos through connected A/V cables, using an included remote control to manage your iPod and an on-screen display to navigate and choose which iPod content you want to play.

The i1255, as mentioned, plays double duty as a DVD player. It has a front-loading tray mechanism for loading discs as well as a variety of traditional DVD player functions like subtitles and zoom. A variety of disc formats are supported, including DVD, VCD, MP3-CD, Audio CD, JPEG CD and Kodak Picture CD.

iLuv's newest iPod/DVD player combo unit supports the iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod nano 3rd generation and iPod with video. Included with the il255 are the remote control, A/V cable and an instruction manual.
