One company showcasing its own non-powered noise reduction solution is Hearing Components. We preview now its new Comply NR-10 earphones.
Features:
Hearing Components says the Comply NR-10 earphones provide "military-grade" noise reduction. While we don't exactly know what that means, it is interesting to note these earphones make use of the same technology used by U.S. Army helicopter crews and Special Forces.
The Comply NR-10 earphones are described as offering 48 decibels of noise reduction while at the same time delivering a better sound. They make use of "passive" noise reduction technology which is a by-product of the foam tips you put into your ears. These foam tips reportedly also conform to your ear canal for a better and more comfortable fit.
Other technical aspects of the NR-10 earphones include a frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000 Hz and an impedance of 16 Ohms. The earphone cable is measured at 43-inches and integrated volume control is also included. Pricing is set at around $80.
