Sony introduced at the end of February 2008 three new models of digital Walkmans, all available in several different color and memory configurations. These models are called the NWZ-S710F, NWZ-A720 and NWZ-A820 and they are all capable of playing common audio files such as MP3s.
Features:
All three new types of Sony Walkmans, besides being able to play music, can also display video on their LCD screens. The NWZ-S710 players have a 1.8-inch screen, while the other two have 2.4-inch screens. All have reportedly good battery lives, with up to 33 hours of music playback for NWZ-S710F models and up to 36 hours for NWZ-A720 and NWZ-A820 models. These numbers dip somewhat when it comes to video playback.
In terms of audio enjoyment, all of these Walkmen have built-in noise canceling which Sony says reduces three quarters of external noise. One can use this noise canceling with or without the music if so desired.
Other useful features, depending upon the model you choose, include a FM tuner with 30 presets, wireless Bluetooth support so you can enjoy music without wired headphones and quality included earbuds. Sizes of storage range from 4GB to 16GB and color options include silver, red, black and pink. All of them are available in March 2008.
