The JVC RV-NB1 Kaboom, priced at $249.95 suggested and available now, is what JVC is describing as a revolution in the boombox world. It originally hit store shelves in the late 90s, only to be discontinued after a few years. A loyal following, according to JVC, has brought it back for 2005.
The Kaboom appears in a signature cylindrical shape, sporting 52 watts of bass thumping power. It offers up a dual sub-woofer design and bass boss system, providing an extremely deep thump for those who wish it. Other features of the Kaboom include MP3 playback with text display, CD-R/RW playback compatibility, a cassette deck and AM/FM tuner.
The rugged design of the Kaboom also sports a blue back-lit display and clock/timer with sleep and wake up functions. Karaoke fans will be happy with the line in function which allows them to use a microphone to sing along with their favorite 80s or 90s tunes.
